Bold as love

I did this for my brother as a christmas gift.
I found a huge piece of 1/4 in  mirror on the side of the road, and decided to make it my own.
cut the mirror down to a pleasing size, put some vinyl  on the back and commenced to cutting away with my exacto. I then sandblasted the exposed mirror.  Took a while but i think it was worth it. I also made a wood frame for it, but I haven't taken a final picture yet.

this took about two weeks to complete.

this was my first job as a new business owner. It is bathroom window for
Brett and Patti Simpson.  Not the best photo ever, but i never claimed to be a
photographer.

a little history

I've been handling glass for close to 10 years now, and have owned my own glass studio for a little over a year.  I work mainly with custom orders but also deal with restoration, and kiln fired art glass and painted glass. I use lead came for all large windows and only use copper foil for small jobs like suncatchers and such.

The reason for this blog is to get my art known. I will be posting pictures of all work that comes
out of my shop, and since i am a music fan i will probably post some music also.

thanks for visiting,
